The soup was so tasty and heartwarming and the salad was wonderful. The waitress might sit down at the table with you while you order. Prompt, polite service. Understand before you go here that this place is a dive, ok? Biscuits weren't done and were just crumbled up in the wrapper on top on my burnt sausage patties. I complained and stated that the pay had been set at $10 an hour. Order is usually wrong too!!!
1726 University Ave, Oxford, MS 38655, USA, 1900 University Ave, Oxford, MS 38655, USA. If someone can't tell the difference, he might actually eat it without knowing it is old! Not happy.. Oxford Ms Jackson Ave wsst.
This experience was pretty okay! Looking to try a new brunch spot during a game weekend? I ordered a double burger, sweet tea and chips. I ordered the sausage, eggs, potatoes, and toast, / Restaurant, Pizzeria, Italian, Pub & bar, burger in town. Chancellors House is a high-end breakfast and brunch place located in a hotel just steps from the Square. Classic, long-running fast-food chain known for its burgers & fries. Longtime fast-food chain serving square burgers on steamed buns, plus breakfast items & kids' meals. Casual counter-serve chain for build-your-own sandwiches & salads, with health-conscious options.
Got an iced dirty chai, very good.
Last but certainly not least, I ordered a sweet tea with my food and sure enough I was handed a cup and there was no sweet tea in the lobby.
Employees reach over each of our sandwiches to install toppings, which I think is foul and irresponsible and take turns installing toppings on two different sandwiches. And they got frustrated when I asked for a receipt.
Lard have mercy! Flour biscuits slathered with sausage gravy and the burrito filled with house-made chorizo will have you praying for more, written by the Travel+Leisure staff in the 2013 100 Places to eat like a Local: Breakfast. This is so rude. They ground it right there fresh in the store and everything was served with a smile and a super clean environment. Associates would leave ham they were cutting out for hours, they would cut the cheese with that same one without cleaning it, and the dish room was extremely disgusting. We repeatedly said hello for over 5 minutes with no answer. The service is very attentive and friendly. My wife found her croissant fantastic.
Simple place.
Nothing fancy, but as close as you'll get to home cooking.
He never called. So, the owner needs to teach about the difference between poultry and beef to the workers. The kids wanted happy meals tonight.
My friends had avocado and egg sandwiches for breakfast and said they were equally delicious. Service was good good, personnel quite personable.
Hopefully, something will change as it seems the performance of this particular Wendys is and has been on a steady decline.
Great food and great staff! It's a cute, quaint shop with a variety of quality pastries. Fast-food chain serving chicken sandwiches & nuggets along with salads & sides.
I just recently started enjoying breakfast from there. Just none of it was together. Beacon gives visitors a homier feel, with Ole Miss dcor from yesteryear pasted on the restaurant walls.
Bacon was burnt and little fragments that were thrown on top of cold egg. EDIT: unfortunately dropping from five stars to three because the food made me sick. They came back uncooked again. I've never had a problem with Subway, but the Subways in Oxford are not the place you want to eat. As always, the food was great.
It is the time the business remains open and then you clean up afterwards. BBB is open M-F 7 AM 1:30 PM and weekends 8 AM 3 PM.
Staff is always friendly no matter how early in the morning. The food was ok, would've been better if the tots had salt on them. Down-home breakfast, lunch & dinner with a Southern accent served in old-school diner environs. Lazy employees who ignore any kind of special requests.
Will go back. Casual chain open 24/7 offering all-day breakfast, plus other hearty American eats. Love it here, friendly, extremely convenient and high quality at all hours of the day.
I was told I wouldnt be served bc they needed a break to eat which I get since theyre short handed but he yelled at me. Great selection of food and beverages. It was really odd, like we were not welcome. And the medium cheddar peppers was completely missing. (There was no one behind us btw.)
Nothing fancy.
751 All American Drive, Oxford, MS 38677, USA.
Good food. Also the chicken with the waffles, were not favorable, because one piece of chicken was dark meat & that wasnt his preference. Ive worked at huddle house since April of last year (with a few months exception) and our newest manager Sonya REALLY tries to work with all of her employees and accommodate all the customers needs.
Very lazy. It's no surprise they put their B sanitation rating in the back where no one can see it. The staff are pretty nice.
This place is just overall ridiculous and will hire anyone.its more rude food than fast food with overall terrible quality. What you should try: Nata (if available), Chocolate Croissants
I ordered 2 route 44 sweet teas and sat 40 minutes before I got it.
Follow us (@HottyToddyNews) for the latest coverage. 1925 Jackson Ave W, Oxford, MS 38655, USA. I got a sweet tea instead. A little slow on Sunday early evening.
Nice staff.
We had empty drinks almost the entire time. They were short, and I was happy to get out of there.
I love the customers and work staff at this huddle house! This location has a lot of new employees, so please give them grace and patience. It would be better to drive 30 minutes to the next town then to order here. The staff is attentive and friendly.
Didn't get the order quite right, though - asked for well done and got medium. She took the plate away and came back saying they would take 20% off but received a new bill for the same price.
But that is the way the world seems to be lately. There is a down home vibe that isnt pretentious or pretending to be something they are not. Fast-food burger chain serving sides such as chili & baked potatoes. Extremely friendly people there. This Wendys always disappoints me.
I go here occasionally for breakfast. How hard is it to build a Krystals burger and NOT add onion. Big mistake. She then directed me back to the place where I had been standing for 8 mins for a cup and her reasoning for not simply going to get the cup was ask that guy hes already in the back and she was merely chatting with her coworker. Its really popular so try adding your name to the list in Yelp so you dont have to wait in line as long. We get home and the large honey bbq jumbo popcorn chicken we ordered was just the crumbs from the bottom of the fry basket- all breading and no chicken and only half covered in the sauce . I ordered a patty melt with hash brown and mine was the absolute best. What you should try: Philly Cheesesteak Omelet (per owner Tony Mize) A white table cloth, impressive restaurant, Chancellors House serves a pricier, yet delicious breakfast menu including omelets, benedicts, and sweet breakfast breads.

Neither of the too lazy employees(one little kid wearing an alabama flat bill and one older lady). Warning: During peak breakfast hours, expect a wait. Not only was I rudely treated for offering help but my sandwich was horrible. 3010 Old Taylor Rd B, Oxford, MS 38655, USA.
Every time Im here I can see how hard they work!
By far the worst Taco Bell I have ever had to deal with! but the chicken tenders were good, so Im willing to look over it.
We ordered on the app tonight, the girl came to bring us our food and read our order back to us and it was correct to a T , and she was really polite so no hate to her. An Oxford must visit! I contacted nationals and they said that they would contact the owner about it and he would call me. Big Bad Breakfast. Huddle House needs to step it up. Ordered chili and they said at the window that didnt have any.
Great local gem and I even bought a bag of their breakfast blend to take home with me.
The decor was '50s Southern diner but it felt more vintage than old.
Cornbread was amazing, as were the mashed potatoes. Well-known fast-food chain serving grilled burgers, fries & shakes. You can literally get everything they offer and the price wont change. Usually the service here is ok. Forgettable coffee and a bit expensive for the variable quality. Friendly staff and the food was hot & freshly cooked (not microwaved like chain restaurants). Down home country cooking. Locals will be there as well as students. This is a Crunchwrap supreme. Upon entering, the staff was cold and didn't speak to us at all. They should be soft not a rock. I was paying at the end of the line and my sandwich fell on the ground. I love that kids 12 & under eat free 4-10pm.
Dont do this again.
Everyone is always in a bad mood.
Press the question mark key to get the keyboard shortcuts for changing dates. They are always accomodating of dietary restrictions and they always have wonderful suggestions! Insufficient staff training. I ordered the bacon and it was very limp.
Very disappointing. I waited for approximately 10 minutes then got frustrated so I pushed the red button and ordered that way. It serves breakfast 7 AM-11 AM Monday through Saturday and Sunday brunch 11 AM to 3 PM. He told us we would have to drive around again for him to take our order. So glad we found this place on our trip to Ole Miss.
That closing time is not the time employees have to clockout by.
Awful. Long-running locale making breads & pastries, plus sandwiches, soups, salads & breakfast items.
This location tends to be quiet during the days, so it is a great place to get lunch on the square!
Its the same as when I got it the first time. The wait was not very long and the waiters were friendly but quite busy. Counter-serve bakery/cafe chain serving sandwiches, salads & more, known for its bread & free WiFi. I can only to begin to imagine the cross contamination in that kitchen. On Oct. 1, 2021 they gave me the ugliest onion rings I have ever seen. I had the chickachanga . But we stayed and had a pretty good time just sitting on the deck. I asked for lemonade.
However, today I went in for my normal cup of coffee and the cup was not in the pickup area yet so I waited patiently. Masks required indoor. I got here at 8:30 and its almost 10:30 when they close. Big Bad Breakfast, or BBB, is an iconic Oxford restaurant. Thanks. Ham and Swiss croissant was absolutely amazing, crispy outside and the best warm yummy inside! A few bites into my breakfast I found hair in my food. Im not a confrontational person so I feel like Im nice and reasonable about things. Well, everyone is totally right. Everything was first class! With so many good choices, it may be difficult to decide where to go. Just down the street on North Lamar, Beacon has been in Oxford since 1959 and is run by the original owners son.
With plenty of nutritious options, First Watch is a great restaurant if you have dietary restrictions or health-focused.
The Breakfast Crunch Wrap is really tasty and the Raspberry Sweet Tea is refreshing in the morning.
The waitress was such a gem. We've tried them twice and have not been impressed. I have been twice. Having a misting fan outdoors would be a plus. Fries were a little salty. I got a breakfast sandwich today, and the chicken is clearly old and burnt. Not only that, but they have amazing, Just another example of something as generic as. All the employees were so kind!! I love that they dont nickel and dime you for every single thing you want on your pita. I can't wait to go back and try out their shrimp poboys! The only problem we had was the bacon. I tried ordering on the app ahead of time but when it came time to check out it wouldn't load. Its a down-to-earth place, and we want people to have a good time. recently these fries have been nothing but hard and burnt and as if they got dipped into the fryer over and over again to be reheated i couldnt eat a single one of the fries due to how hard they were.
Great location North of the square. Many people who eat at this restaurant have been coming for years because of the food and, more importantly, the service.
Considered a favorite by students and locals alike, it received the award for Best Breakfast in Oxford in 2009 and 2014. My boyfriend has been prior to me going and LOVED the Chicken ramen soup, I will try it next time. My food was excellent, except the bacon egg and cheese biscuit was somewhere between room temperature and warm. Aside from that, one party received his food a good 15 minutes before anyone else did. Navigate backward to interact with the calendar and select a date. The experience felt nice but it is not very spacious.
Having had 3 years of experience in the foodservice industry I considered the food preparation conditions to be terrible. In the drive thru, youre lucky if they acknowledge your existence in anything resembling a timely manner, then you have to wait ages for your foodwhich likely will NOT include everything you ordered. Bottletree has a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Head to Beacon if you are feeling hungry and want a lavish meal at a reasonable price. They're light on the fillers and I have had to ask for missing items to my plate. After saying yes, I was handed a bag of food that wasn't edible. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and here in Oxford there are a wide variety of quality breakfast options that will satisfy your hunger. It serves a variety of classic Southern breakfast dishes that will not disappoint any hungry patron.
Very disappointed.
The service was nice, but our order was completely wrong and the food was no good. Nice atmosphere. After two weeks they told me they didn't need anymore help because there was not enough clients and they gave me a check for minimum wage pay. Never coming back! I hope this was a one-off occurrence and not their culture. They also have a variety of drinks including coffee, hot chocolate, and fancy juices. The first thing that you will notice is the overwhelming amount of pastries that fill the counter. The food is delicious - be sure to try a biscuit (one of best Ive had) and also the brle grapefruit - tastes as good as it sounds and when are you gonna ever see that on a menu again?!.
We also had the fruit drink, it was really yummy, I didnt get a picture because it didnt last long between the both of us . They have cornhole, a stage, cabanas, and outdoor TV's. Weve listed Oxfords favorite breakfast and brunch places: Beacon is a classic American style restaurant serving a filling breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Kitchen closes at 2PM. A perfect stop on your way into town or leaving the morning after a game.
2. Single layer, single layer. This type of customer service should not happen in a workplace. I have never sat so long anywhere before. Waited half an hour in curbside for food after ordering on the app.
This was a very stressful situation for me and I hope the next time I come its different. She said she was going to talk to the owner (that never happened). We came through the drive-thru on 11/27/21 around 10:30pm, and no one said anything to take our order. I'm just sad I didn't get a receipt so I could get my BK rewards. I literally almost ran out of gas sitting here.
Cute little bakery with a nice vintage eclectic vibe. The cheese grits were amazing, with cheddar!
The manager greets you by your name, which is excellent.
When visiting other towns, I try to patronize locally-owned businesses and this one dis not disappoint! And I never got that check.
Would prefer to give 0 stars. During the semester it can get pretty busy but considering so many people come and go out of Oxford due to school, it's to be expected. Nice relaxing seating area, though, both indoor and out. Awful service.
I feel absolutely terrible complaining about my experience, but the manager was finally able to give me my sweet tea after the third set of sweeties I received. Attached is a picture of my spicy chicken sandwich however, the worse part is the burger looks like it survived a gang initiated Jumpin! Bottletree Bakery offers a lighter brunch option for anyone visiting Oxford. I will never be back to this subway. Employees are always smiling to customers even if they are under pressure.
Long-standing chain serving a wide variety of pancakes & other American breakfast & diner fare. 1948 University Ave, Oxford, MS 38655, USA, 78 MS-30 Suite 101, Oxford, MS 38655, USA, 1901-C, Jackson Ave W, Oxford, MS 38655, USA. Coffee, eggs, bacon, pancakes, sausage & gravy. I loved my tacos and he loved his sandwich! Not even Fries! Southern chef John Currences motto? I just paid & left.
What they gave me was a single layer burger. I personally love avocado, humus, and pretty much all veggies so its nice to get what you want without a steep price increase.
I feel like I definitely deserved a refund.
Update: I got 2 more teas and before I left tasted them and they were also unsweet. Really not much variety of things to offer, especially after 2PM. Charged me $2.00 for a bottled water despite my ordering a small water.
The pay was stated to be $10. They don't know the difference between a double burger and a single.
I occasionally get a bagel for lunch or breakfast at this place. Id definitely visit again. This is home cooking in true MS style.
This patio is awesome. I will not go back to this restaurant.
1902 Jackson Ave W, Oxford, MS 38655, USA. The food is always good here. Its not fancy, but it is an Oxford tradition, having been open since 1959!
I have never had Einstein so today ordered a turkey sausage breakfast bagel and a tea on starship an hour and a half before they closed. It takes a Southern twist on brunch with entrees including Gulf Coast Eggs Benedict and Shrimp Florentine Crepes. All of the pastries here are made from scratch, and its obvious in the taste. I gotta say, the last two times I've been to Sonic, previous time in Water Valley, they have been great. They cant build a Waffle House in oxford fast enough!! They both were pretty good!
Thank you Mama Jo's for the great food and friendly experience.
We still have flaws (who doesnt) but being one of the busiest huddle houses in Mississippi thats expected!
She constantly tries to get us fully staffed and trained to BETTER accommodate the customers!
Our first visit to Harrison's! My family and I will never visit this Wendys again. The food was hot and fresh. Employees refuse to toast sandwich.

2 happy meals and a 6 piece nugget.
My favorite is the cold brew coffee and breakfast sandwich :).
I had already wait around 4o minutes at this point, so I couldn't afford to wait any longer. Pay them a visit and help keep the little guy in business. She reached out to me to help make our experience better. Fries were BURNED!!!
Caf chain for breakfast, brunch, and lunch, First Watch is an excellent addition to the Oxford area.
Though to end on a positive note the sweet tea didnt taste stale this time. Also, my drink tasted like nasty carbonated water.
This place offers food at a little lower price, too, but the quality is still there. But today was a smack dab in the middle hit. It serves a special Sunday brunch on game weekends. You are stealing time from this company. Im going to be reporting this to the owner of the franchise but whomever is the night manager needs to be fired.
But $9.00 for a water, 6 cold nuggets and a large frosty (in medium looking cup) is a rip off if you ask me.
A definite locals secret you should seek for yourself.
The fries were hot, fresh, and salty ole son.
Such a fun little place. Cafe chain for health-minded breakfast, brunch & lunch options such as omelets, salads & soups. Altogether, I enjoyed the experience. Therefore, this place is more like a very limited kiosk. Fast food has gotten slow and expensive. Literally two items.

so we're upset about the service we received it was poorly executed and the service was not up to standard. The atmosphere is really warm and even when its crowded its not that loud - so you can easily have a conversation.
Was planning on have a nice meal with my wife in a comfy booth but obviously its to difficult to wipe them down so they had both areas with booths closed off. Our waiter was was polite and brought refills to the table without prompting.
Great bakery items as well. Delicious coffee both hot & cold and the sausage and egg breakfast bites were out of this world! Harrison's was truly the perfect location to enjoy the weather and watch college football.
I mean its kind of stupid how easy it should be.
Big bad, to so much.
We ordered the Breakfast tacos with Mushrooms and the Breakfast Club sandwich.
After a deadly shooting of a female employee by another, sad customer service and an overwhelming public health pandemicsadly this place is still allowed to open and operatesave yourself and either cook at home or go to McDonalds (theres a reason why the line is alway shorterbetter options).never will I be a customer again! My husband and I each ordered a soup (lentil, greens and sausage) and shared a salad (apple, mozzarella, beetroot & mixed lettuce). But this was not. Subscribe to our

Life is too short for boring emails. And the tables and decor probably havent changed since then! It is located at 923 Van Buren Ave and weekdays 7 AM 2:30 PM and weekend 8 AM- 2 PM. There is no accountability in this business and I hope I never have to deal with this enterprise again.
Unfortunately, I found out after making it onto campus before my next class. We were there attending a charity event!!
One of many reasons why we call Oxford home. The staff were lovely too! I cant wait to go back and try the burger and soup. The manager of the establishment has had multiple charges for drugs and has been in jail before. No easier Sunday morning breakfast than a donut from Ollies, or previously called Shipley. I like the Impossible Whopper. Everyone knows that Sonic can be hit or miss sometimes.
