I received this as a birthday present from my DH.I had seen it on Sex and the city, and mentioned how much I would love to do it.So my DH booked me a 2 hour trapeze class as a surprise, great surprise.I had 9 other people in the class with me, everyone was so friendly and supportive.The staff members were very nice, and we got through the training very fast, so that we could have more time actually doing the trapeze.My first time climbing the ladder was scary, I am not great with heights.They make you feel very comfortable, and safe.after my first time, It was so exciting, you get such a rush.My first time I did not do that well.2nd time up I was able to get my legs over the bar, hands off, and hands back on and legs down, and then drop to the net.They wanted us to back flip to the net, which I had a hard time with, my final time I finally did it.I was so proud of myself for everything I had accomplished and it was so much fun.It was the best birthday present I had ever received.They started doing catches and I would have loved to give it try, but we had been outside in the hot sun for about 1 1/2 hours, it was about a 90 degree day, and the sun had really got to me, so I was not feeling up to it.Eventually I hope to return to NYC, and when I do this will be one of the first things I do.It was incredible, an amazing experience.Do this if you are in NYC. This was such an incredible experience. Students are challenged to try a variety of apparatus including corde, fabric, trapeze, lyra, and hammock in order to teach tricks, connect with the equipment, move in the air and build strength. The kids ABSOLUTELY loved and enjoyed the opportunity and skills. - Brittany, Avenel Middle School, The kids had a great time! Recommended experiences in and around New York City. The New Jersey Circus Center offers five classes for kids of various ages. But, it was well worth it! NYC is full of so many wonderful things to do, but I must say I wish I had done this years ago!!!

The Big Top Buddies program is for children 3 - 5 years old, First of May is designed for children 6 - 8 years old and the Youth Circus Program is appropriate for 9 - 12 year olds. You won't see me in any of the traveling circus performances, but it's great exercise. I would absolutely go back for another lesson. Remember me
