This was easy and fantastic. If you dont have chicken tenders can you use chicken legs and or thighs? Fingers crossed you can make this way. Easy and good. Would this work to prep and freeze uncooked for the next day? The sauce didn't thicken up as much as I thought it would. If desired, serve over egg noodles. I used Minute Rice and the precooked bacon meant for the microwave, and it was super easy to put together and pretty quick to make that way. I use 2 cans cream of chicken, chicken broth, seasonings and a container of sliced mushrooms. Summertime calls for classic potluck recipes, portable foods, and dining al fresco. I am making this tomorrow night when my oldest son (19) brings his new GF over for dinner. It is easy to make and should I try it again I will add the two cans of soup, more seasonings and perhaps sliced carrotts and or celery to give the meal some color. I used one can of condensed cream of chicken, 1/2 can of milk, and 1/2 can of chardonnay to add flavor. This was a win for every taste bud in my house. I used cut up chicken breasts, added some Italian seasoning and Mrs. Dashs Garlic & Herb seasoning to the chicken mixture. I have made this before and everytime it has always been great. I put some spices to our liking and browned the chicken in a little olive oil first which cut down on oven time. I also add a couple of handfuls of frozen spinach.

I used 8 chicken breasts instead of 4.then 2 cans of cream of chicken, and 1 can cream of celery (mushroom would've worked too). This is a good meal that costs almost nothing and takes no real work.
I also added shitake mushrooms that I had sauted in white wine and 1 tsp of unsalted butter. I use a can of the cream of chicken & mushroom soup.

I did follow some tips I read from reviews and added 1 can of Cream of Mushroom, stabbed the chicken with a fork several times on both sides, used 1/2 a bag of American Beauty Extra Wide Egg Noodles (which I undercooked prior to adding to the panabout 5 mins), and added half a bag of frozen broccoli. It will warm up when the casserole is baked. But sometimes you want a lighter option to choose from too.
